Head over to <https://marketplace.stripe.com/> and search for **Data Mapper for Mailchimp** in the search bar at the top of the page. Make sure to be logged into the account you want to install the Stripe app into, and make sure it's the account you're currently authenticated with. You can verify the account you're currently authenticated with by looking at the top-right-hand side of the screen.![](/files/IFazXF98LIVJ0dYEpW5M)

Once the Data Mapper for Mailchimp app appears in the search results list, click on it. On the next screen, click "Install app." If you already have the app installed it will not allow you to install the app again at which point you can skip the rest of this guide and open the app from the Stripe Apps dock.

A window will pop up showing you the permissions our app requires in order to function. If you want to learn more about why our app needs these permissions, please go to [Understanding Permissions for Data Mapper for Mailchimp](/data-mapper-for-mailchimp/getting-started/understanding-permissions-for-data-mapper-for-mailchimp.md) for more information.

When you install the app, make sure it's being installed in Live mode, as installing the app in test mode will not work. You can confirm which mode it's being installed in by referencing the bottom of the pop-up ![](/files/dmVMuiz43E219QEoJ1c0)

Click "Install app" again to complete the installation of Data Mapper for Mailchimp. Once it's complete, you're ready to onboard!
