# What data is synced?

When utilizing the manual migration feature in Data Mapper for Mailchimp to transfer historical data from your Stripe account, only customer data will be migrated to your Mailchimp audience. This includes essential customer details such as names, email addresses, and billing information. However, any tags or events associated with these customers in Stripe, such as specific purchase activities or custom labels, will not be included in the migration. During this process, the app will attempt to reconcile existing subscriptions in Stripe with the corresponding customer records and apply appropriate subscription-related tags in Mailchimp to ensure accurate representation of active subscribers.

### Automated Syncs for Ongoing Data

In contrast, the automated sync feature provides a comprehensive and dynamic integration between your Stripe account and Mailchimp audience. Automated syncs capture not only customer data but also relevant tags and events, such as purchase history, subscription changes, or invoice activities. These syncs are triggered automatically whenever there is new or updated data for the entities you have enabled in the app’s settings, such as charges, customers, subscriptions, invoices, or quotes. This ensures that your Mailchimp audience remains up-to-date with the latest customer interactions, enabling you to leverage real-time data for targeted marketing campaigns and automated customer journeys.
