How to see your e-commerce data
Once you’ve set up Data Mapper for Mailchimp and synced your Stripe data to a Mailchimp store, you can view e-commerce data, such as customer purchases and associated revenue, directly within your Mailchimp account. This data helps you analyze customer behavior and optimize marketing campaigns. Below are the ways to access and review your e-commerce data in Mailchimp.
Viewing E-commerce Data
1. Checking a Contact’s Purchase Data in Predictive Analytics
To see revenue associated with a specific contact:
Navigate to the Audience section in your Mailchimp account and select the contact who made a purchase.
Go to the Predictive Analytics section within the contact’s profile.
Select the Mailchimp store you created via Data Mapper for Mailchimp (e.g., “Main Shop” or the name you assigned during setup).
Review the revenue data attributed to that contact, which reflects purchases synced from your Stripe account. This includes details like total spend and purchase history tied to the store.
2. Reviewing Purchases in the Contact’s Activity Feed
To view a contact’s purchase activity:
In the Audience section, open the profile of the contact.
Locate the Activity Feed within their profile.
Look for entries related to purchases, which are synced from Stripe via Data Mapper. These entries may include details such as the product purchased, purchase date, and transaction amount.
3. Viewing Revenue in the Audience List
To see revenue attributed to multiple contacts:
Go to the Audience section and view your audience list.
Ensure that your audience list is configured to display e-commerce data columns, such as total revenue or recent purchases. You may need to customize the view in Mailchimp to include these fields.
Review the revenue attributed to each contact, which reflects their purchase activity synced from Stripe to the Mailchimp store. This allows you to identify high-value customers or segment your audience based on spending patterns.
Additional Notes
Data Source: The e-commerce data displayed in Mailchimp originates from your Stripe account and is synced to the Mailchimp store via Data Mapper. Ensure that products, purchases, and other relevant data types are enabled for syncing in the Purchases & Products section of the app’s Settings page.
Currency Consistency: Revenue and purchase data reflect the currency of your Stripe account (e.g., USD), which matches the Mailchimp store’s currency.
Real-Time Updates: Purchase data is synced automatically in real time when enabled, ensuring the information in Mailchimp remains current.
